Property Description & Our primary AMENITIES:
We are open year-round, seven days per week for your inspiration, creativity, relaxation, comfort and peaceful enjoyment. Our lower workshop is available to local creative residents daily 10am - 5 pm or can also be reserved for use with groups of six or more for social or classroom activities as well.
The main living floor has plenty of comfortable seating next to the fireplace in the living/dining area or can also be extended through the French doors to the den where several power recliners and a large screen HDTV can also be found. We encourage our guests to find a spot where they can get comfortable in and enjoy.
There are five+ main bedrooms: The Daisy May Room and the Library Room are both found on the main living floor, each with a queen bed and a twin bed. The Violet Room is located on the second floor with a queen bed. Also on the second floor is the Ruby Room with a queen bed and a set of twin adult size bunkbeds. An additional sleeping space can be found on the lower level in the Beach room with a queen bed and a queen sleep sofa. Our Longarm Studio/Dorm on the top floor can sleep 4 on individual twin beds. Maximum capacity should be considered 12 although there are additional options to consider. There are three full bathrooms, one on each floor and an additional half bath on the newly finished top floor.

The summer months offer air-conditioning in the main living areas which can also be enjoyed in all the bedrooms. The grounds and outdoor gardens, deck, patio, gas grille and sandy beach can also be enjoyed in the warmer climates. The scenic lake is literally just a few short steps away. Evenings can be spent sitting around the campfire, watching the sunset and listening to the call of the loons. Morning coffee can be served up on the porch or you can take a brisk walk in the woods on a groomed trail located just across the street.
Our guest's dedicated Kitchen is located on the lower level in the Beach Room and is directly adjacent to the Workshop. The kitchen is fully appointed and available exclusively for your group’s use in meal and snack preparations. There is a dedicated refrigerator/freezer for your drink and food storage needs as well as a stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot & Keurig, electric griddle, 2 crock pots, toaster, silverware, knives, dishes, lobster pots, pans and common baking/cooking utensils. All meals are the responsibility of our guests unless other arrangements have been made in advance. The grocery store is approximately 15 minutes away, if needed, or there are also many local restaurants, catering and online shopping options as well. Also, there is a dedicated washer and dryer for your use, if needed as well with an added fee.
The spacious new and improved lower Workshop boasts individual workstations for each guest. They come complete with adjustable height, rolling ergonomic desk chairs. There are also several counter- height cutting and big board pressing stations complete with mats, rulers, and irons as well as plenty of electrical outlets, design wall space and lots of lighting. Our ping pong/pool table in the Beach Room also serves as an expansive dining area or great spot for spreading out your work on a larger scale.
The “For-Get-Me-Knot” shop is our small dedicated on-site shop which provides the opportunity to purchase those useful forgotten items and favorite notions, fabric or gifts. Fiddleheads is our small on-site lending library providing an array of inspiration and stimulus through an impressive collection of quilt books, each supplying many old and new techniques, heartwarming stories, patterns and instructional videos for your enjoyment while curling up at night. Our Sewing Machine rental program helps take the hassle out of lugging heavy and expensive equipment by providing Brother, or Janome/Elna sewing machines at reasonable weekly and daily rates.

Our cellphone service can be spotty at best but free Wi-Fi and unlimited long distance nationwide calling is provided. Our goal is to do everything possible to make your stay as memorable and rewarding as possible. Please respect the few private restricted areas throughout our home as well as the quiet enjoyment and safety of any of our other guests and neighbors while here.
